I am a Chartered Consultant Clinical Psychologist working in the North East with over 25 years clinical experience across a wide variety of specialist services.

Originally from the North East, I trained at Aberdeen University and later at Edinburgh University. I obtained my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2003 and Chartered status with the British Psychological Society shortly thereafter. I returned to the North East of England in 2009 and now work primarily in adult mental health.

I have expertise working in primary care (adults), substance misuse, chronic pain and occupational health. I have skills teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. I am a qualified executive coach (ILM 7) as well as a trained mediator with a proven track record over 10 years in managing interpersonal conflict.

I work with a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities to suit individual clients, including:

I am committed to supporting clients I work with to help them achieve their therapeutic goals. I follow treatment guidance as set out by the National Institute of Clinical Evidence (NICE) so clients can be assured that all treatment follows an evidence base.

I am able to offer appointments to clients in various locations in the North East. I am also able to offer sessions on-line as required.
